It’s a long way home
But I’ll hold you like I held you then;
In my thoughts, sitting on his bed.
It’s a long way home.
This I know,
That, despite it being 2:00am,
I’d go back and do it all again.
Oh, this I know.
It’s true
That we two
Have been spending time, and I…
Did you stop and notice
How we passed the hours last Saturday
And, if we could, then we would’ve stayed?
Did you stop and see?
Am I allowed to wonder
If I’m the only one who can see your charm?
If I make your heart beat a little harder?
It’s true
That we two
Have been spending time, and I…
I don’t know what to make of you.
ooooooo

Comfort
03:16
|
|||
Do you wish that you got here a little earlier?
Do you wish that we got here a little earlier
And we hadn't have missed the sunset sky?
'Cause I tell you what - the field can take it,
Take the laughter and the smiles.
But I tell you what - I can't take it;
Time gets me every once in a while.
Oh, but you have been looking for comfort here.
Oh, you have been looking for comfort here.
Do you wish that I got here a little earlier?
Do you wish that we got here a little earlier
And we hadn't have let the time slip by?
'Cause I tell you what - I was mistaken,
I was blind from the inside.
But something changed with the photo taken;
Put a hole in my blind side.
Oh, and you have been looking for comfort here.
Oh, you have been looking for comfort here.

Millennium Bridge
02:15
|
|||
I was the only one waiting at the platform
For the metro on a Saturday night.
I saw the train lights shine around the corner,
And then the people on it seemed alright
There were families who’d been to watch the football -
Hear the children as they laugh and screech.
I could stay there all day, just to watch the children playing;
I’d not been that close to people all week.
I see the seasons in this city changing, changing
For the first time, and I know
I have my reasons to be living with strangers, strangers
For soon I’ll call it home.
Last night I took a walk into the city
To see the view from the Millennium Bridge.
I was planning to sit and watch the sun set
As it dropped behind the western ridge.
As I left home the sky was red and fiery,
Oh, It was glowing in a beautiful way,
But I think it must be fate, cos I leave everything too late;
And when I reached the bridge the sky was grey.
I see the seasons in this city changing, changing
For the first time, and I know
I have my reasons to be living with strangers, strangers
For soon I’ll call it home.

I Miss You Still
03:44
|
|||
Many years have passed
Since I saw you last.
And I just wanted to say
That I miss you still.
Oh, it’s been too long
But my tears will go on.
And I just wanted to say
That I miss you still.
But this I know:
That it all comes and goes.
And I just wanted to say
That I miss you still.

Long Nights, Small Hours
05:39
|

Long nights and small hours,
Long nights and small hours,
Long nights and small hours,
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake
Oh, it’s a cruel, cruel pain
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake
In the long nights and small hours
The long nights and small hours.
I can’t teach you how to feel pain;
You find that yourself
It’s a different kind of heartbreak
Mmmm
I was talking to a friend tonight
And she said “There are
Some people I can’t live without”
But, boy, I don’t know…
Oh, we don’t always get to make that choice;
Oh, we just go on missing the sound of their voice.
Oh, we know that there’s nothing else we can do...
And you can hate me for saying it’s true.
When the church bells ring
It won’t feel
Like a Friday afternoon -
It all comes too soon.
And when the church bells ring
We walk in time
For all it’s worth,
To remember a life,
To remember – but I don’t have the answers, my dear.
All we have are the memories and years.
So here’s to losing what we never had
So here’s to losing what we never had
So here’s to losing what we never had…
For as long as it hurts
In the long nights and small hours,
Long nights and small hours,
Long nights and small hours,
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake.
In the long nights and small hours,
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake, no
No, it’s a cruel, cruel pain;
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake, no
No, it’s a cruel, cruel pain;
You don’t need sirens to keep you awake
In the long nights and small hours.
Long nights and small hours,
Long nights and small hours,
oooooo
Long nights and small hours,
oooooo
Long nights and small hours,
oooooo
Long nights and small hours,
oooooo
Long nights and small hours
